About the Project
New eight-story, 154,000 SF facility to co-locate nine health related disciplines. The facility positions the school for continuing growth and enhance its ability to successfully compete for the very best students and faculty researchers.
The building incorporates a state-of-the-art educational events space for community outreach as well as class collaboration. Simulated hospital environments consist of operating rooms, acute care patient rooms, recovery rooms, and a range of imaging spaces including a high-tech virtual linear accelerator. Simulation suites for Nurse Anesthesia and allied health disciplines are provided, as well as a double-height biomechanics research lab and several maker labs.
Other features include apartments/patient rooms to teach activities of daily living; clinical skills lab; observation deck/maker-space for creating custom designed adaptive equipment for patients; lab and research space, and a consult group area for recorded counseling sessions.
