About the Project
The new Arts Quarter was created to support instruction and performance in the departments of music, theater, speech, dance and studio art. Phase 1 was the creation of a new 67,275 SF Music Arts Center, including a 425-seat Concert Hall, the 100-seat Comey Recital Hall, as well as extensive instruction and practice spaces. Phase 2 was the renovation and expansion of the existing performing arts building, Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall. Significant spaces in the building include the 478-seat Glenn Close Theatre and the 250-seat Studio Theatre, in addition to dance studios and scene and costume shops.
