About the Project

Substantial renovation and large additions to an existing middle school, including 124,060 SF of new construction. New program spaces included three academic houses, dining facilities, media center, full-size gymnasium, interior courtyards, associated administration spaces and renovated, theater-quality performance space preserved from the existing school. Addition of extensive green spaces and open courtyards, and use of natural light to improve classroom environments and reduce energy consumption. Facility specifically designed to accommodate use by community groups during non-school hours, with separate security for the auditorium, gymnasium, dining commons and other community rooms. LEED Silver certified.
