Benjamin S. Pavlich, PE, SE

Education:
M.S.C.E., Michigan State University, 2010
B.S.C.E., Michigan State University, 2005

Ben is a proud native of Cheboygan, Michigan, where he was born and raised. After earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, Ben moved to Chicago and joined a firm specializing in high-rise design. He spent the next 12 years practicing in Chicago, before moving to Richmond in 2019. Ben’s project experience covers a wide range of new design projects, as well as extensive work with existing structures, including forensic investigations, disaster response, litigation support and adaptive reuse.

At home, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren and their three children, and since moving to Virginia they have appreciated the opportunity to spend so much time outdoors without winter clothes. Ben and Lauren are usually in the middle of planning a trip; they have been to over a dozen countries and half the states together since getting married in 2012. When he has a little spare time, Ben enjoys hiking, rock climbing, Michigan State sports and live music.
