M.S.C.E., Virginia Tech, 2019
Michael joined Dunbar in 2019, after interning with us the previous summer. He has wanted to become an engineer since he was a child; he was curious about how things work and always enjoyed building things. His previous internships with other sub-disciplines of civil engineering and hands-on design team projects at Virginia Tech exposed him to project phases and expanded his understanding of constructability.
Mike enjoys working with a team and believes that everyone has something important to contribute, and it’s important to him to enjoy what he does and who he works with. He lives an active lifestyle, including enjoying golf and completing construction projects with his father (who is also an engineer). If all else fails, a good book can easily fill his time.
