Nitu Thoota is a Structural Intern in Dunbar’s Richmond office. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Virginia and supports Dunbar’s engineers with project tasks while continuing to build her understanding of structural design and the profession.
Nitu is especially interested in historic renovations and was drawn to structural engineering by the opportunity to help design safe, functional spaces where people can gather, work, and learn. Through her internship, she is gaining hands-on experience with the technical and collaborative process behind building design.
Outside of work, Nitu enjoys going to the gym, playing guitar, and sewing.
