Shannon Hodul is a Graduate Engineer based in the firm’s Richmond office. She supports a range of structural design projects and brings enthusiasm for collaboration, precision, and learning to every project. Before joining the team full-time, Shannon interned at Dunbar for two consecutive summers.
Shannon holds both a Bachelor (’24) and Master (’25) of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. While at Tech, she was an active member of the Steel Bridge Design Team, helping lead a group of students in designing and fabricating a scale model steel bridge. This experience deepened her passion for structural engineering. She is certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT).
Shannon was drawn to structural engineering as a career that combines her love of buildings with her strengths in math and science. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, drawing, and painting, and spending time with her large and close-knit family, including cheering on her brother at Special Olympics competitions each year.
